Rohrer & Klingner Ink Now Available

You may recall that a few months ago, the Pear Tree Pen Company was able to obtain a small amount of Rohrer & Klingner Fountain Pen Ink, which we offered as samples to the fellow inkoholics in the fountain pen community. The response and the feedback we received from those who were able to get their hands on this ink was really nothing short of overwhelming.
As a result, we concluded there was certainly enough interest to risk importing a sizable supply of this ink into the U.S.

Now I’m pleased to report that hundreds upon hundreds of bottles of R & K fountain pen ink have recently cleared customs and are now stocked neatly on the shelves of the Pear Tree Pen Company’s Iowa location.

In addition to the complete lineup of Rohrer & Klingner inks (18 varieties, including two iron-gall inks), we wanted to offer something a little special, so we also obtained a small number of gift sets, each containing two bottles of R & K ink and a glass dip pen. but you may have to wait a day or so before those are available - we've been so focused on adding the inks to our website, that these gift sets have had to take a bit of a backseat. But they should be up and available in a day or so. Another neat R & K product that we brought in is Rohrer's Spezialreiniger, a fountain pen cleaning solution, which is available in 250 ml bottles. It's a pretty neat thing to have, and I'm pretty sure we're the only US source for it.

Visit the Pear Tree Pen Company website to purchase your bottle of Rohrer & Klingner fountain pen ink, pen cleaning solution, or a special glass dip pen gift set. You will not be disappointed!

Thanks for reading!

Hello dears, so excited about the R&K... your link is bad, it leads to a 404 error; I know how to find your website and look at these pretty inks anyway, just thought you might want to know.

The pen cleaning solution sounds intriguing...

Thank you - we're really excited about the Rohrer & Klingner too!

And thanks for the tip about the bad link - it's fixed now and should work fine.

Enjoy!

No problem - can't find the cleaning solution on your site, though; where might that be located?

The cleaning solution will also be up in a day or so - like the glass pens, they had to wait until all the inks were up. Then, the orders started coming, and coming, and coming. . . . well, you get the idea. But we'll get to it soon - promise!

Hey James!

I am intrigued with this cleaning stuff thingie! Inquiring minds want to know. Can you do a review and post it on FPN or link to a review on your site? I can't find much at all on the stuff. How exciting!

Which colors are iron-gall based?

Anyway, thanks for stocking these! I ordered some already.

The inks that are iron gall are Salix and Scabiosa. Salix is an interesting blue/black mix, and Scabiosa is unlike ANYTHING I've ever seen before! It's almost like it has touches of black, deep purple, and burgundy in it. It's excellent for shading, and it's really smooth, too! It takes a really interesting vintage character when it's dry, too.
